Help Nadia’s Family in Gaza

Hello friends,

I’m Jessica Bennett, an American helping a family dear to my heart in Gaza.

I’ve been talking to Nadia (19 years old) for several months. I’ve gotten to know her and her family: Yosra (her Mom) and her two younger siblings (Tala, 13 years old; and Mohammed, 9 years old). While we fundraise for their evacuation, they also need help with the daily cost of living. This campaign is to help with more urgent needs: food and cooking supplies; blankets and winter clothes; a cover for their tent as the weather gets colder.

Here are some words directly from Yosra and her family:

“My husband and I were once proud homeowners, but now our home has been reduced to rubble by the ongoing conflict. For one year, the sounds of my children playing have been replaced by the echoes of war. The future I envisioned for my family now hangs by a thread. Amidst these ruins, my children – Nadia, Tala, and Mohammed – all face a shattered educational journey. I just want a future where my children can learn and live in peace and safety. Thank you for helping us.”

Happy December to you all. Thanks to your generosity, we have now been able to send another transfer of $500 to Nadia and her family (for a total of $1000 sent so far). With this money, Nadia’s family has been able to get a rain cover for their shelter, warm blankets, and winter clothing for the youngest children – Tala and Mohammed.

However, they still need our support! Nadia and her parents still need to buy clothing for the cold winter weather. Food prices are also at a record high in Gaza right now – one bag of flour is $300! The people of Gaza are facing unimaginable circumstances right now, and we are LITERALLY their lifeline.
